Weiss Furniture
was founded
in 1924 by Joseph and Hyman Weiss. Their original location was
on Depot Street, by the point, where Main Street and Depot Street
split today. That site is a parking lot today ! In 1946, right
after WW II, Mr. William Dunhoff purchased the company from the
Weiss Family. In July of 1954, the company moved to it's present
day location, the plot of land bordering Lincoln Avenue where
it intersects with Depot Street. The local paper (see our SCRAPBOOK pages) promoted the "big
event". Photo's from that period and more can be viewed,
and are a rare treat, especially for long time residents of Latrobe.
Today , Weiss furniture is managed
by Richard Dunhoff. Weiss Furniture continues to thrive today,
almost 60 years after it was founded, and has expanded it's presence
onto the internet. Please visit Weiss Furniture, where we are
big enough to serve you, and small enough to care.
Weiss Furniture has courteous and professional
delivery personnel. While most furniture stores use sub-contractors
to repair damaged furniture, we have "on staff" skilled
craftsmen that service and repair the many products we sell.
And our salespersons are knowledgeable and helpful. Since 1946,
our goal has been to provide complete customer satisfaction,
and make your experience a pleasurable one. Please stop in soon
and allow us to assist you in your furnishing needs.
