About Us

Weiss Furniture was founded in 1924 by Joseph and Hyman Weiss. Their original location was on Depot Street, by the point, where Main Street and Depot Street split today.

That site is a parking lot today ! In 1946, right after WW II, Mr. William Dunhoff became partners with his new brother-in-law, Hymen Weiss. . In July of 1952, the company moved to it's present day location, the plot of land bordering Lincoln Avenue where it intersects with Depot Street. Today , Weiss furniture is owned by Richard Dunhoff. The store manager is Fred mcCloy. Weiss Furniture continues to thrive today, almost 86 years after it was founded, and has expanded it's presence onto the internet. Please visit Weiss Furniture, where we are big enough to serve you, and small enough to care. Weiss Furniture has courteous and professional delivery personnel. While most furniture stores use sub-contractors to repair damaged furniture, we have "on staff" skilled craftsmen that service and repair the many products we sell. And our salespersons are knowledgeable and helpful. Since 1946, our goal has been to provide complete customer satisfaction, and make your experience a pleasurable one. Please stop in soon and allow us to assist you in your furnishing needs.

Delivery Policies

Weiss Furniture tries to have a fair, affordable, and high quality delivery service. We deliver throughout Westmoreland County. The fee is normally $59.95. This is dramatically lower than our larger city competitors. This can change due to energy costs, distance and special services. We also deliver into Allegheny County, and other counties surrounding Westmoreland, at a slightly higher fee. Please make your home ready for our delivery service. If weather is bad, please clean off the sidewalks and driveways. We also prefer not to remove old furniture from your home, as it slows down our delivery speed greatly. If we do need to remove and item, there will be a charge to take it to the city disposal site. Also; we try to give a two hour window of delivery times. Please be patient, as road conditions, weather and other factors sometimes slow us down. We always have truck phones and can call you in advance of delivery, to make your wait times as short as possible.
